...Grahame, what you say is true. Unfortunately so.

Things like banning the muslim head cloth in schools. It's just a calculated to upset and make nothing of religions.

Well I guess the people need to explain the powers that be that they are there to serve the people and not vice-versa.Don Greyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09387139662368237609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33965667.post-45091904725678391092009-06-07T00:02:54.266+02:002009-06-07T00:02:54.266+02:00France has a horrible history of religious persecu...France has a horrible history of religious persecution for profit.

Two examples are the Albigensian Crusade and the destruction of the Knights Templar.

Although the Albigensian Crusade was superficially aimed at a group of heretics, one has to ask the legal question cui bono (the one who benefited is the one who did it). The kings and noblemen of France were the ones who benefited. They took the lands and possessions (after taking the lives) of the "heretics".

Similarly with the Knights Templar. The king of France made a huge profit from torturing and killing the richest knights in Christendom.

So today they are trying the same thing. This time there is a Church that supports the largest non-governmental anti-drug campaign in the world (which cuts into the profits of the illegal drug trade that enters Europe through the South of France), exposes abuses in the psychiatric industry (which severely cuts into the profits of big drug companies), supports the largest non-governmental human rights educational campaign in the world (which cuts into the profits of major French arms manufacturers) and more.

No wonder someone is doing their unsuccessful best to try to stop such a Church.Grahamehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05391080535858750246noreply@blogger.com
